IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE ORDERING we can't stress enough that our slate place mats are made from natural slate, not mainstream re-constituted slate.
Slate is a metamorphic rock, 45 million years old, which contains various impurities such as fools gold metal impurities (black and gold interpolations created by the presence of iron) and fossil indentations. For these reasons, each set is entirely unique, and we kindly ask customers to understand that we are unable to control the colour consistency of the set they receive. In fact, we believe this would actually defy the point of the product, and its inherent natural beauty
