The Flexi-Pond range of preformed ponds are made from what the clever manufacturers call "rubberised plastic" - they weren't going to give anything else away, which is understandable because this constitution makes them superior to rigid ponds in a number of ways. Firstly, the material used allows small to larger ponds to be produced relatively in-expensively, in-fact at a fraction of a cost of rigid fibre-glass ponds. Secondly, the malleable nature of pond facilitates a more "forgiving" D.I.Y installation. Finally, the rubberoid plastic arguably creates a more durable constitution than a rigid structure. It possesses greater impact resistance, UV stability, and proves significantly more resistant to other weather mechanics including freeze-thaw. All-in-all, a Flexi-pond is a perfect solution for those undertaking a D.I.Y aquatics project

STRAIGHT-FORWARD D.I.Y INSTALLATION we are not saying that installing a Flexi-Pond doesn't require hard work, but the general installation principle is straight-forward. With some practical aptitude and care the resulting pond will prove impressive
INSTALLATION SUMMARY (1) mark pond shape with spade (2) dig over-sized hole to allow for a loose soil or soft sand buffer (3) place pond in hole and level out (4) slowly fill with water whilst back-filling the sides to contour the soil with the shape of the pond
HIGHLY DURABLE flexi-ponds have distinct advantages over traditional rigid compositions. Being impact resistant, they won't crack or shatter during installation, or develop surface chips as time progresses. Their malleable nature doesn't just provide an easier installation, but greater UV and weather resistance, particularly where freeze-thaw is concerned. Fibre-glass, for instance, is known to crack and splinter under freeze-thaw conditions
HELPS AVOID INSTALLATION ACCIDENTS we haven't had a reported installation accident to date, and we think retailers of brittle plastic or fibre-glass ponds can't make the same claim. But please be careful never-the-less, there's always a first time for everything !

Weekend delivery is not available unless specially requested by telephone (at extra cost). Allow 2 working days before your chosen date, not including the day your order is placed e.g. the earliest delivery when an order is placed on Monday is Thursday.
