CARE, USAGE, MAINTENANCE real fuel heating products will oxidise and rust as the effects of heat and moisture accumulate. This does not effect use, but ultimately the appearance and wear of such products depends on how well they are maintained. Covering the product when not in use, applying stove paint annually, and controlled burning will all contribute to long term utility and aesthetics. As with all products of this nature, do not leave unattended while in use. Take adequate measures to protect children and animals from hot components
