The Planetarium 120 Bonfire Pit is in the business of making fires - very big fires! At 120cm diameter this is by far the largest fire pit in our range, and being made from 5mm gauge mild steel, it's also the heaviest. The Planetarium has the serious capacity and appearance required to create a festival atmosphere in any outdoor location, which perhaps explains its popularity with events and wedding agencies
MADE IN THE UK hand-made in the UK by skilled metallurgists, this product is firmly built for its task
SERIOUSLY HEAVY GAUGE STEEL the fire bowl is 5mm thick, where the industry average for a steel fire pit or barbecue is 0.6mm! The Planetarium has been built to feature in your garden for a life time. This is a product for those seeking to invest in British quality
LARGE BOTTOM GRATE the fire bowl has a heavy duty bottom grate to promote air circulation and a wholesome blaze
OPTIONAL BARBECUE RACK purchase the optional barbecue rack to keep you and your guests warm on the inside, as well as on the outside! The rack is hand-made from high grade 316 stainless steel and covers approximately 2/5 of the fire bowl area
METRICS diameter = 120cm; fire bowl depth = 38cm; total standing height = 68cm
PLANETARIUM REQUIRES SERIOUS CARE AT ALL TIMES if the following sounds obvious, please forgive us, but we must impress upon any user what it means to take delivery and operate this product. Firstly, it is extremely heavy, and requires at least 4 people of good strength and health to relocate the fire pit at the point of delivery and thereafter. The fire pit itself has an immense capacity, and the amount of wood you use on first starting the fire is very important. We advise you start low and build the fire up after ignition, so as to maintain the flames at a manageable level. Please do take care
GRACEGUL AGEING it won't take long for the fire pit to oxidise. The steel is so thick that it has absolutely no impact on the fire pits long term durability, so simply leave it outside and enjoy it when you come to use it. Some customers like the oxidised appearance, others prefer to periodically apply a black stove paint to give the fire pit a more "polished" appearance
