Hand-made on the island of Crete, these Gargantuan Greek Planters are the product of a painstaking production process lasting 5 days. The potters (using wooden wheels powered by their feet), apply the same techniques of the craft used by their Minoan ancestors over 3000 years ago. The process ends with the pieces being fired at the phenomenal temperature of 1150°C, creating the hardiest terracotta pottery there is. The planters have been popular with a diverse range of customers, from people with large country gardens to those with modern courtyard settings. One thing the owners of these planters have in common, is that they were looking for a distinctly crafted, premium product

CREATE AN AIR OF GRANDEUR the size and style of these planters mean they can easily take the role of an awe-inspiring centre-piece, yet at the same time they can be used on the borders of larger gardens to contribute to a more general feeling of grandeur. Purchasing two allows their use as a spectacular introduction to your garden or house by placing them either side of your gateway, pathway, front door, or patio doors.
PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE WTH BOX-BALLS the planters look particularly stunning when used with box (buxus) balls or spiral-formed topiary plants
FROST GUARANTEED the clay used in production is carefully selected and fired to the incredible temperature of 1150°C, making the pottery extremely hardy. This means that each urn is frost guaranteed
PRODUCED BY HAND remember, the planters are painstakingly produced by skilled potters who work very much within a cottage industry. No two planters are the same, and the dimensions we have provided can not be defined as precise. There are slight variations in size from one urn to another
