Eaton Fire Pit Table
The Eaton Fire Pit Table is a patio heater, barbecue, and stylish garden table all in one neat package. During normal use the Eaton takes the guise of an elegant garden table, owed to its clever centre-lid which conceals the fire pit opening. Remove this centre-lid, and the Eaton will impress all guests in attendance as you set about making up a warming fire. If this level of versatility isn't enough, the Eaton comes with a chrome barbecue grill to keep your guests nourished as the socialising proceeds in to the evening
MATCHING CHAIRS NOW AVAILABLE purchase the Roseburn Chair to make a full fire pit table furniture set
CENTRE LID ALLOWS USE AS A NORMAL TABLE the centre-lid means that the Eaton is a high quality garden table in its own right, comfortably seating 4 to 6 people to drink or dine
COMPLETE WITH CHROME COOKING GRILL apply the chrome cooking grill to the fire bowl, and you have the ability to cook food as well as keep warm
SPARK GUARD a free spark guard is supplied to help protect people and surroundings should the fire start to spit
CAST ALUMINIUM TABLE TOP built to last, the main table surface is constructed from cast aluminium. Cast aluminium does not rust, and remains stable at high temperatures, arguably making it the best possible material for the construction of the immediate surface surrounding the fire. It also makes the table relatively lightweight, should a certain amount of mobility be required. Please note that the fire bowl, spark guard, and legs are made from steel, and for this reason the table must be covered to prevent the weather oxidising these components
SEATS 4 - 6 PEOPLE the Eaton will comfortably seat 4 to 6 people using standard height garden chairs (not supplied)
DIMENSIONS table diameter = 106cm; height = 73cm; diameter of central fire pit = 51cm
PLEASE COVER THE TABLE WHEN NOT IN USE using a weather cover for this product is absolutely essential. The Eaton has a corrosion proof table surface, but the steel components are susceptible to deterioration if left exposed to rain. To avoid having to re-paint these components prematurely, apply a weather cover between uses to keep the table looking its best for longer
ASSEMBLY table legs require assembly by 2 people. Approximate set-up time is 10 minutes

Sunniest day of the year made better with our Eaton Table. We had 10 friends round for a bbq and we cooked for them all while they used the outside of their table to place drinks on. Some of our friends said they thought the table was a great idea, so we gave them your web address! All The Best. Anne

.......... this fire pit table. Having looked at quite a few on the market(internet/retailers), I found myself coming back to this one. Easy to assemble, reasonably light for ease of positioning and generous proportions. Table and accessories are well made with the benefit of being rustproof in the case of the table. Looking forward to those late Summer/Autumn evenings being able to enjoy the warmth of a real fire fire or an outdoor cooked meal.

Very very happy with my Eaton Fire Pit Table. I purchased 4 "Chaigley" Folding Arm Chairs from True Shopping to go with it, and the whole set looks fantastic. I got the whole set for under £ 400.00 including delivery!!!!

Product came in a large brown box in a flat-packed style. The weight was 24.9kg (as per the box), so I helped the Parcel Force fellow bring it in to my house. On opening the box I could see that the product flat-packed quite well, with the curved legs lying flat next to the large heavy table top. Setting it up was okay, but I took my time and made sure I rested the table on soft, dry grass so it didn't get scratched. The instructions are okay, but I would recommend assembling the legs to the circular bar first before attaching them to the table top. Initially keep the bolts loose so that you can align the components, then tighten them gradually to make the structure solid.
The table just looked better and better as I assembled it. When I went to put the centre lid in to the middle of the table, I noticed that it was a hefty piece of metal. Measuring the thickness of it with a ruler I would say it is about 5mm thick. It sits in the centre hole very nicely, and it does make it look like a normal cast aluminium table. I also note that the table top itself is made from thick cast metal - around 5 to 8mm thick (hard to measure because of the patterning in the metal), so the quality is pleasing.
When set up and working the table looks very nice. There are some of the imperfections that you would expect from cast metal, but this is part of it, and no different from the effect created by cast iron.
BAD POINTS were that the nuts and bolts had come out of their packaging, and I had to rummage around in the box for sometime to retrieve them. Perhaps in future they should be in a carton, and not a plastic bag?? Another thing was that there are 2 fixing points on the underside of the table top for each leg, whereby the inner fixing points (closest to the centre of the table) are redundant. I called Gardenitems about this and they said that the redundant fixing points were for a different version of the product made by the manufacturer, where the leg positions are different. It's okay, and they don't affect anything, but it did cause me some initial confusion when setting it up. Perhaps this should be noted in the instructions??
To finish, I am very happy with the final result, and apart from the minor criticisms, I am very pleased and can offer my recommendation of the product
RESPONSE FROM GARDENITEMS.CO.UK: Many thanks for the comprehensive review. We're sure your pointers will prove useful to other customers

Originally looked at the Jamie Oliver Fire Pit, but couldn't really stretch that far on the money side. Got this instead, and I am very pleased with it. It may be February but we've had some sun here in Berwickshire, so I can say in all honesty that I have tested it!!!
