The Solar Bulkhead PIR Authority Light has been built to serve the public. Targeted mainly at our local council clients, the light is a complete kit for immediate installation, straight from the box, in locations such as public toilets, bus stops, and public thoroughfares. The system has been designed around two key design words - "robustness" and "reliability". To begin, the system is powered by an Infinity high performance 5wp solar panel (30 year life, 10 year guarantee), which feeds into a waterproof battery enclosure. The battery enclosure is made from reinforced polycarbonate, and can be wall-mounted out of reach. From the deep cycle solar battery the 9w bulkhead light fitting is attached, where it provides an equivalent of 45 watts of illumination

ADJUST THE PIR LIGHT SENSITIVITY choose exactly what level of light the movement sensor starts to trigger the light. Some people prefer operation from dusk, others from pitch-blackness
ADJUST THE CYCLE TIME make the most of the solar energy by adjusting the lights burn time per cycle
COMPLETELY MODULAR the light, battery and PIR are non-integrated and weather-proof. This provides complete installation flexibility. For a public toilet set up, for example, the PIR and battery box may need to be located above the entrance door, with the light positioned inside. This system makes such a set-up possible
DESIGNED FOR RELIABILITY the solar panel will feed 35 watt hours of electricity to the solar battery in peak conditions (a summer's day with no cloud). This means the lamp will provide 4 hours of illumination from dusk, which is more than enough energy to serve the public from the first charge ! Not forgetting that any surplus energy will be stored in the battery to compensate for less favourable weather days. The included charge controller will ensure that the solar battery is never overloaded, thus ensuring long periods of service.
