Shed-Mate (Strip Bulb) Solar Shed Lighting Systems work off exactly the same technology as its normal bulb counterparts, apart from the obvious difference that fluorescent strip bulbs are used for illumination. The strip bulb assembly has an advantage in that each one is individually switched, meaning total control of where the out-building is illuminated and the corresponding power consumption. Customers of this product prefer the aesthetic appearance of the strip bulb housing, remarking that the diffusion of light is more gradual and its appearance on both wall and ceiling is more pleasing than bulbs. These matters are largely down to personal choice, but as with all shed mate systems, this product will save you money the moment you open the box and begin the installation

WHICH VERSION SHOULD YOU CHOOSE ? simply measure the square metres of your room/s and the above illumination data will reveal which system is appropriate. Planning is key, and it is worth considering that illuminating an entire room is not always necessary

We can also confirm that these kits are 100% exempt from part P of building regulations act, so there are no legal issues associated to D.I.Y. installation

These bulbs are therefore not commonly available, but replacements are easily obtainable through us or the manufacturer
YOU WILL REQUIRE A BATTERY use any 75/85 aH leisure/automotive battery, widely available from DIY and motorist stores. We are unable to supply batteries with the systems as they are hazardous to mail order
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS advice: be careful in considering the installation of your battery. It must not be overlooked that batteries contain acid and there are environments which are unsuitable for this installation. A children's playhouse is one example of a totally unsuitable use for these systems
