Japanese Maple Copper Water Tree

The Japanese Maple Copper Water Tree is a wonderful sculptural representation of one of World's most adored tree species. Popular in both the Far East and Western Europe, the Japanese Maple is appreciated for its domed branch structure and richly coloured multi-lobed leaves. This intricate water sculpture is the most challenging piece in the range for the metallurgist to craft, pushing the limits of concentration, skill, and time management. The resulting work of art, as its owner will agree, is a truly accomplished portrayal of the highly revered tree itself

A COMPLETE KIT complete with base stand and high quality Oase pump (with 10 metres of cable), the water feature comes ready for installation in to one of our recommended pebble pools or a pond (pool sizes recommended below)

POND / PEBBLE POOL REQUIREMENTS pebble pool installation = use our Finia 1000 round or Finia 1375 square; pond installation = ponds must be 100cm (diameter) x 30cm (depth) minimum

DIMENSIONS height = 100cm (approx); max width = 80cm (approx)

LIMITED EDITION HAND-MADE IN SURREY this design is painstakingly hand-made by metallurgists in Surrey. This includes the leaves, which are cut by hand. The artist engraves his initials on each piece he finishes. click here to see an artist at work

INSTALLATION PRINCIPLE AND EFFECT the feature sits on the pebble pool (or on a raised plinth if in a pond) and the pump connects to it from the sump below (using the supplied hose connection). The water travels up the branches of the tree and is distributed to the leaves. At various points within the leaves the water delicately trickles out and drips down to the pond or pebble pool below to recycle. The overall water effect is tranquil, but visually rich

NOT JUST A WATER FEATURE, A SCULPTURE each feature is a sculpture in its own right, so they look equally as impressive as a dry feature

NATURAL AGEING made from solid polished copper throughout, this un reactive metal does not rust and will endure for years to come. The copper does age gracefully, and in time it will acquire a mature looking patina. This serves to enhance the beauty and uniqueness of the water feature

OTHER NOTES/SPECIFICATIONS base stand constitution = high density lead; minimum plinth dimensions when installing in to your own pond = 40 x 40cm (applies to both sizes); notes on fixing the feature = feature free stands but screws or bolts (not included) can be drilled through the lead base for extra security. We recommend this approach

DELIVERY NOTICE please bear in mind that your copper tree will be made-to-order, so we ask for a lead time of 28 days before delivery. Although it rarely happens, we do ask you to be empathetic if there are any delays with your order (hand-made production is less predictable than factory production). Naturally we will do our best to inform you if delays are foreseen, but we must stress that this is not a product for you if you are on a tight time schedule - this could lead to frustration and inconvenience
